What Is a Foundation Degree?

A Foundation Degree is a 4 -year university programme. It helps you build the skills and knowledge needed to start your degree, followed by three years of undergraduate study leading to a full BA or BSc qualification.
The Foundation Year is an essential starting point for students who need academic preparation before beginning their full degree. Whether you start from the Foundation Year or enter directly into Year 1 depends on your previous qualifications and academic background. This will be assessed once you submit your application and supporting documents.
The full programme lasts four years—one year at foundation level followed by three years of undergraduate study. Courses are delivered full-time, with flexible scheduling available. Daytime, evening, and weekend classes may be discussed with your academic advisor based on availability.
