These terms and conditions govern the provision of free devices (laptops or tablets) to students by Study HE UK as part of our educational support services. By accepting a device, the student agrees to the following terms:

1. Eligibility and Redemption
1.1. Each eligible student is entitled to receive one free device when enrolling through Study HE UK.
1.2. The device can be a laptop or tablet, subject to campaign.
1.3. Only one device is redeemable per student per course.
1.4. If the student enrols in a postgraduate course through Study HE UK after completing their initial course, they are eligible to redeem an additional device.

2. Device Condition and Availability
2.1. The devices provided may be either brand new or refurbished, depending on availability from our supplier.
2.2. Study HE UK does not guarantee that the device will be new, and the specific model or condition may vary.
2.3. The device is non-exchangeable and cannot be upgraded or swapped for a different model.
2.4. The device is for the personal use of the student only and must not be sold, transferred, or used for commercial purposes until the device has been handed over to the student after course completion.

3. Ownership and Usage
3.1. The device remains the property of Study HE UK until the student successfully completes their course.
3.2. Upon successful completion of the course, ownership of the device is fully transferred to the student, regardless of whether they pass or fail.
3.3. If the student withdraws from the course or drops out at any point, they must return the device to Study HE UK in fair condition, accounting for reasonable wear and tear.
3.4. In the event of damage beyond normal usage, the student is liable to pay the full cost of the device.
3.5. If the student fails to return the device or pay for damages, Study HE UK reserves the right to take legal action to recover the cost.

4. Care and Maintenance
4.1. The student is responsible for the proper care and maintenance of the device while it is in their possession.
4.2. Any damage caused by misuse, neglect, or improper handling is the responsibility of the student.
4.3. In case of loss or theft, the student must inform Study HE UK immediately and may be held liable for the replacement cost.

5. Liability and Warranty
5.1. Study HE UK does not provide any warranty or guarantee regarding the device’s performance, quality, or condition.
5.2. Any manufacturer warranties applicable to brand new devices will be passed to the student upon course completion.
5.3. Study HE UK is not liable for any technical issues or defects that may arise after the device has been handed over.

6. Breach of Terms
6.1. Any breach of these terms may result in the immediate revocation of the free device offer.
6.2. In cases of fraud or misuse, Study HE UK reserves the right to reclaim the device and take appropriate legal action.

7. Amendments and Updates
7.1. Study HE UK reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions at any time. Any changes will be communicated through our official channels.
